The
Institute of Heating
& Air Conditioning Industries, Inc.
IHACI is a nonprofit trade association of contractors, manufacturers, distributors, utilities, and related businesses actively engaged in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and sheet metal industries. The history of the Institute goes back to the late 1930’s when a group of young heating contractors, manufacturers, and distributors met to discuss the possibility of forming an association to serve their mutual needs. Out of these meetings evolved the Institute of Gas Heating Industries.
This November, IHACI will be transitioning with an updated branding campaign to help the association continue moving forward for the next 75 years to support the HVAC industry and a refreshed logo design will be introduced in November. The updated logo will maintain much of the original design but has been updated to reflect today’s industry.
The new IHACI logo combines classic and modern elements to reflect our established and reputable presence. The updated font ensures readability across sub-brands. The sun icon symbolizes our industry’s core and our energy. This design unifies our offerings—from educational classes to the ICN magazine—under a cohesive visual identity. The logo’s versatility reinforces our legacy and trust within the HVAC community.
The chosen colors for the IHACI logo—red and blue—reflect our core values. Red signifies energy, passion, and the heating aspect of our industry, while blue represents trust, reliability, and the cooling elements essential in HVAC. Together, these colors create a dynamic and cohesive visual identity that resonates with our established and reputable presence in the HVAC industry, while ensuring modern appeal and recognition across our sub-brands.
ASK CHARLIE
Although IHAC’s logo will undergo a transformation, the association has supported its members and trade allies for over 75 years will continue to serve the industry well into the future!
